Eucharist
The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. (CCC 1324)
First Communion
Our large children’s faith formation program strives to impart the Catholic faith to the young people of the parish while preparing them to receive the sacrament of Holy Eucharist. Classes meet on Sunday morning in English and on Wednesday and Thursday evening in Spanish. The First Communion classes run from September through May.
An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
