Mental Health Ministry

MISSION STATEMENT

In the spirit of friendship based on our gospel teachings, the Mental Health Ministry Group at Our Lady of Mount Carmel are volunteers and parishioners dedicated to serve our brothers and sisters.

Our ministry provides an accompanying presence through resource referrals, spiritual companionship, and prayer. We do not diagnose. We seek to make it easier for our parishioners and their loved ones to seek treatment and support by providing information about community services available to individuals and loved ones who care for them.

We listen with compassion.
We pray with courage.
We guide to connect with professional services.
We walk in faith with our brothers and sisters on the road to a better tomorrow.

OLMC Mental Health Ministry Prayers

Opening Prayer

Come, Lord fill us with the light of the Holy Spirit;

Come, Lord that we might know your ways;

Come, Lord that we hear your word and glorify your name;

Oh God, you are our Eternal Father;

Bless us this day with your wisdom, your comfort, and may we always be in your graces;

We praise your name. Amen.

Closing Prayer

We thank you Lord for hearing our conversation here today.

We pray that you will open our minds and hearts so that we may embrace your wisdom.

We ask that you guide us through our daily challenges that you might understand your plans for us.

We ask for your blessings today and tomorrow.

Lord God, You are our rock and our salvation. May you never leave my side. Amen.
