Policy for Quinceañeras


  • The Quince Años will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel for a young lady whose family is registered at OLMC or at least has some relationship with this parish and/or with OLMC School.
  • The young lady must have already received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion. (Documents required.)
  • The young lady must have already received the Sacrament of Confirmation or be currently enrolled in our Confirmation program.
  • Proof of regular Mass attendance is required. (For example, Sunday bulletins from this parish or another parish signed by a priest.)
  • Arrangements (date and time) for the Quince Años celebration at OLMC will be made no earlier than five months in advance.
  • The Quince Años Mass will be celebrated on Saturdays at 12:00 Noon.
  • To register and set a date for the ceremony, the parent(s) and the young lady must meet with the priest (or his representative) at the Parish Center. At this meeting, copies of the sacramental records (Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion) should be provided along with a deposit.
  • Once the date of the ceremony is established, the young lady will be given a time to meet with the Quinceañera coordinator. At this meeting, the social and spiritual meaning of the Quince Años will be discussed and a rehearsal will be arranged.
  • The donation for a Quince Años celebration at OLMC is $500.
